Well, it’s not surprising when you find so many social networking sites in the top 100 Alexa List of different countries. These social networks are attracting huge amount of traffic. Just take the case of Myspace and Facebook and Beebo and Orkut. They are all in top 100 traffic sites.
Why these social networking sites attracts huge traffic is because they give people a reason to come back again tomorrow when they visit today. Because they have made new friends and they have sent out messages and shouts and they want to know if anyone has replied and so they come again tomorrow.
So, if you want huge traffic websites, think about creating a social networking site as yet another great option. It’s not that hard creating a site like the top ones, as there are tons of scripts out there. The only thing you should start pondering is how to get the exposure and attract maximum people when it start.
